Original Switch digital release
Nintendo's original Switch product lists October 14, 2026. This is the digital edition's date in the collected official material. It is recorded separately from the native Switch 2 product and from the boxed release schedule.
Original Switch boxed release
Silver Lining Direct gives October 16, 2026 for the boxed Switch edition. The developer's collected answer also confirms the distinction between digital and physical timing. A boxed release date is not a promise that every retailer has stock or delivers on the same day.

The superseded August announcement
Some earlier promotion used August 20. The later October schedule supersedes that date. An older trailer should therefore not override the current date shown by Nintendo and the publisher's physical product information.
A calendar date is not a universal unlock hour
The source material establishes the release day for each format. It does not establish one local-midnight unlock across all regions. Check the current Nintendo listing associated with your region rather than converting the date into an unsupported exact time.
